Ive been accepted into BU with above average stats and did not see a link for merit based aid. Does that mean I didnt get any scholarships or are they still in the process of updating the site? Thanks.

Its on the right side of the page.
Maybe its not loading right due to the server being slow.

I cant believe it, my stats are above average and I didnt receive any scholarships. Can somebody post their stats and how much merit aid they received?

8000 a year ‘performance award’. Thank God! only 3500 in loan aid.

$10,000 dean’s scholarship and $5,500 need based (never thought i would qualify for financial aid)
Stats: somewhere in the top 10% of my class but we don’t rank. SAT: 1970/2400 1240/1600. GPA: 4.0.

yeah i have the same problem i didn’t get any merit aid
SAT:2080
Toefl:111
Gpa:3.97
do you have to apply for FA to get merit aid??

Accepted: CAS
Merit Aid: NONE
Stats:
SAT II’s: 780-Math 2, 800- Chem, 750- Math 1
SAT: 2050(750-M, 630-CR, 670-W)
GPA: A
AP’s: 5-Chem, 4- Stats

My decision: Too expensive- guess I won’t be attending!

ACT 34
GPA A-
Rigorous Schedule
SAT 1410/2090
Lots of EC’s
No Fin Aid
1/2 Merit Scholarship

I received the University Scholarship. So thankful! I really needed this if I want to go to BU.
My stats:
SAT- 1480/2170
SAT II’s- 790 Lit, 750 US History, 690 Biology
ACT- 35
GPA- 3.8 and 4.9 weighted

I got merit aid and I have average stats …

Maybe you were just unlucky.

No merit, and I’m actually really upset about it because now I cant afford the school.
GPA- 4.45/5, 3.76/4
SAT- 2090
SAT II- 630 Bio, 770 Math II
AP- 5 Calc AB, 4 Statistics

I never submitted the CSS form until recently, and the BU Scholarship site mentions having to have them in by Feb. 15 to qualify. I’m kind of hoping this is the reason why I didnt get aid. I thought I would at least get something… anything I can do about the CSS thing?

How recent is recent? If they haven’t had time to review it, this could be why you didn’t get aid.

I got the University Scholarship with:
SAT: 1310/1940
SAT Subject Tests: Math 2:700 Math 1:650 Lit: 630
GPA: 3.94/4.4

I am from West Virginia, which probably played a role in this one as well.

3/21, exactly one week ago.
I’ve talked to some people who say that the CSS profile doesn’t affect merit-based aid, but I feel it may be different for BU?
Also, my friend said that theres a good chance they’ve already released all the money they can afford to give out for scholarships, so am I too late? Do I even have a chance at anything? x.X

I probably won’t be going to BU but I was accepted as a university scholar with…
SAT: 2140 (710 cr, 690 math, 740 writing), 4.07 GPA and I’ve won a national championship. Good luck to everyone!

They focus on need-based aid more than anything else… There are vverrryy few big merit based awards give out
My avg is 91 unweighted with 4 AP’s 1850 SAT
I got alot of need-based aid via grants but also the Alumni Council Scholarship

If you’re strictly talking merit based aid, it most probably depends on your individual program/school. The people who they really want to pull in their yield are going to get the most merit aid.

I applied to CAS and got in as a bio major
2090, m:690 w:710 r:670
GPA: 3.72 and going up (will that help?)
Founded science honors society, great recs good essay

Seriously, I want to attend BU. But with 2k in loans (which isnt even financial aid) theres no way in hell that can happen
I set up a meeting with a finaid officer for the accepted students day- how can i fight to get merit aid?! Will it matter if i express how i will 150% come to BU if they give me a little scholarship? even 10k, 8k a year makes a huge difference since most of my college fund is dependent on interest rates >_<
