Chemistry 710
Mathematics Level 2 730
U.S. History 780
(Just for context SAT scores were- 780 Reading 760 Math 730 Writing)

Will any of these SAT II scores hurt me? I know the math and chem scores are far from spectacular but they are not that bad, are they? Do I need to retake any of these tests to get into schools like:
NYU
ND
Penn(Wharton)
UChicago
Northwestern
MIT
Berkeley
Stanford
Washington
Columbia
Standford
MIT
Michigan State
USC

Again, I know my scores could be better, but they will not be viewed as a problem by colleges, right? Any insights or opinions on whether or not to retake would be much appreciated. thanks

I know my answer will probably not much of a use or any help, but there was a thread about a international student getting 750 for a certain subject which I can’t remember.
But the point is, Many members replied that it won’t really hurt or affect them for applying to ivies. However, they did say it would be helpful to send. Sorry if this isn’t helpful.

I am not sure without seeing the rest of your credentials it is possible to answer your question.

One thing that stands out is that your list pretty much only has reach schools for most applicants. Unless you are a native of michigan and are automatic for michigan state (I don’t know how the state schools work in michigan) there is a distinct possibility you wont get into any of the listed schools.

your SAT II scores are competitive enough.

But, most of the universities on your list have quite low acceptance rate. So regardless of what your test scores or achievements are, there’s a pretty slim chance of getting in (for everyone applying to them)

So if I were in your place, I would work on adding some safety schools to your college list

thank you for the thoughts. Is it worth taking the math 2 subject test again or would I just be sort of wasting my time? I feel fairly comfortable so long as a 730 in math 2 is not a reason for an admissions officer to become concerned. I get the impression from some posts that anything below an 800 is unacceptable…

What is your intended major? Do you have any hooks? If no hooks and you want to major in STEM, the Chem and Math2 will hold you back a little bit at Columbia, CalTech, MIT and Stanford. I think you are pretty solid for all the others. You could make up for it with a stellar transcript, memorable essays and superior teacher recs.

I’d retake Math / Chem. I heard the Math 2 average (50th percentile) is high 600s so a retry would be good. THey aren’t bad scores but I don’t think they would help you very much
