<p>Not sure what you mean by “binding”. If you wanted to know if you HAVE to take their offer if asked, then no. </p>
<p>First, you have to make a deposit at another school. There’s no guarantee you’ll get off a waitlist. </p>
<p>Then, if you are offered a spot in their freshman class, they’ll make immediate contact (like phone calls) to know if you’re still interested. You will have a set amount of time to think and choose. That’ll be a very short time, but you will have the option to decline.</p>
<p>However, do not ask to get on their list if you are not serious about going.</p>
<p>There are no binding waitlists. It’s an agreement with the school where they might choose you. Then, you might accept the offer.</p>
