Are AP electives calculated in my GPA?

Will all AP electives be calculated in my GPA? Examples: AP psych, AP art history, AP human geography.

Yes. UF will include all AP classes you take in your recalculated GPA.

That’s for GPA getting into UF but once there they just meet pre-reqs, right? I have a related AP question. Would there be ANY reason to send AP calc passing score if plan to take Calc 1 at UF anyway?

I can think of reasons NOT to like potentially BF or PP may not pay for courses already have “credit” for; as if they are remedial in some way if already have credit. Can’t find whether or not that is true but without any reason TO send a score, I’m assuming we won’t.

@OldLady21 No reason not to send the scores. Freshman engineering advisers would recommend taking Calc 1 at UF, even if you passed the AP test (with a 3). BF and PP don’t take AP/IB/AICE credits into account. Your transcript may end up showing calc 1 twice, but only one with a grade.

The extra AP credits also don’t count toward the excess hour surcharge.

Thanks! Is there any advantage to sending scores when want to retake the class?

With Calc? they may use it for placement (other than the Aleks placement test), but I don’t think it really matters one way or the other.
