For example can I transfer my "4" for a "B" in a General Ed class not just for credit but also as a part of my college GPA?

Most good unis won't let you do that. For me, Duke just gave me credits for the class without a grade and it didn't count toward cumulative gpa.

Depends on the college's AP policy; check its website for details.

it depends on the college; mostly no..

transfer courses from other colleges however frequently count on ur GPA

If your college gives you credit for an AP course, your transcirpt will simply indicate the course and CR (credit). There will be no grade assigned and no calculation to your overall ga.

In addition, when you transfer to another school, the new school will pretty much do the same thing; they will indicate on your transcript the courses which they are giving you credit.

There will be no transferring of grades and the grades from your old school are not calculated in the GPA of your new school.

However, when you apply to graduate school or professional school you must include transcripts of all schools which you have attended.
