Are business fraternities worth it?

<p>I recently decided to rush for a new business fraternity on campus and got a bid, but now I'm wondering if it's worth it.</p>

<p>I'm a little intimidated because the pledge fee for the quarter is $250 - is this rate normal within (business) fraternities?</p>

<p>I am curious because this is the first fraternity I have checked out, and so far I like the people, but I'm a bit worried about the fees.</p>

<p>Would appreciate any tips or advice. =)</p>

<p>If it's an active chapter that has a lot of events/speakers/mixers/etc, then it'll probably be worthwhile. If it's not very active and people don't do much, then it likely won't. This is pretty much true of any college organization.</p>
