Are Earplugs allowed?

Just curious - I don't think I've heard of a rule against this.

I wish they weren’t I just took the test today and my test center was *****. I sent ACT an email so hopefully they will waive my fees.

Somebody please say they are, you will make my day.

It says you cannot have ear plugs in but it all depends on the proctor. I would take them and see if you get by with it. Don’t take the bright orange ones!

Rats. well hopefully I get a lenient proctor. i’m kinda in the potential position of getting what statlanta complained about - a ****ty test center >o>

Man, this would be so awesome if we were allowed to.

I don’t know about the SAT, but you are allowed to bring earplugs to the MCAT if they are in an unopened package. It can’t hurt to buy a cheap pair and take them to your testing site. If they don’t allow them, make sure you keep the receipt and return them.

I had a friend who didn’t wax her ears for months so that when she “plugged” her ears so to speak, they stayed shut for a while… Totally disgusting… But hey, I guess you could call it strategy ha ha!

^■■■■■! I’m gonna do that…maybe…

Is anyone else highly annoyed with sniff sniff every 5 seconds

yes! My son is. During the ACT today, one kid in the test center finished a section really early and then started picking his afro! My son found that really annoying.

He hears everything and is easily distracted. I think earplugs for kids like that is a great idea. I don’t understand why they are not allowed?

B/C it would disadvantage poor kids who can’t afford earplugs (stupid I know).

Also there could be a hidden microphone in them.

A hidden microphone in an ear plug? I’ve never heard of such a thing! What would they want to be recording?

What does it mean to wax one’s ears?

haha like clean them… with q-tips
