Are EC's more important than GPA?

I applied to Brown, along with 6 other seniors from my school of 2600 students. And I heard that ivies generally accept only one student from each high school, if that.

One girl and I are taking basically the same courseload, but I have all B’s this semester and she basically has all A’s. Would the admissions take into consideration that I work 4 hours a day after school everyday, and that I am VP of SCA which is a ton of work? I was just wondering…

Oh, and is it a good sign that the admissions committee had given my interviewer specific questions to ask?

Thanks guys. I appreciate it!

Your patience is the most important right now.

Ditto with spark15.

Trying to over analyze these circumstances will just leave you frustrated and annoyed. Try to just wait it out and find out the decision when it comes out.

Well i can tell you the first part about 1 per school is false. Maybe for most schools but not mine. Does yours have a history of sending just 1? I dont think they will compare you with the applicants from ur school and throw out all but 1. I highly doubt that's the process
