Are Freshman Seminars Open to Students of Other Schools?

I will be entering the School of Communication this fall as a freshman but a lot of the Freshman Seminars in WCAS sound very interesting. Would I be allowed to take one of these courses or are they for Weinberg students only?

I believe generally for Weinberg only but you may be able to enroll in them after regular enrollment- someone else on the board might be of more help since I was in the Kaplan Scholars Program so that was a bit unique.

I think arbiter is right but nothing is set in stone. If you’re interested in whether it’s possible then call and ask and, regardless of their answer, go to the profs of the seminars you’re interested in and ask the first day of class. My daughter has gotten into a few classes that way.

They’re meant to be a crash course in college writing/reading and the topic of the classes is only so that you have enough material to write a 4-8 page paper every week or so.

^totally depends on the seminar.
