<p>I think they are guaranteed… My daughter is a Finalist, and I don’t remember there being any question about her getting free tuition. We still have to pay her room and board.</p>
<p>I think that is typically the case, although I don’t think anything is totally “guaranteed” until you get a letter from the school detailing the scholarship.

<p>Right, I shouldn’t have said guaranteed, but I think that you can generally count on getting it.</p>
<p>It’s not guaranteed. I did not end up with it last year- I was a NMSF/NMF (but I had a pretty comparable aid package in the end).</p>
