Are honors classes considered A-level equivilents in the UK or is it only AP classes

The title spells it out. I have taken both honors and AP classes in high school. For UCAS/COPA should I only list my AP classes or both my honors and AP classes?

Only APs: they are interested in standardized test scores, as 1) they are the fairest way to compare student performance, and 2) they have a consistent curriculum, so they know that if you have done (say) AP Chem you have covered sufficient material to be prepared for the first year course at university. Your Honors English class may be much easier -or harder- than a class with the same name across town.

The only alternatives to A-Levels that can be taken in the USA are:

  • APs
  • SATII/SAT-S Tests
  • IB

The point is not the class per se, but the test score (achieved or predicted).
