<p>In the coming months, I will be applying to many Ivy League/Top National Universities. I know many of them offer interviews to some applicants but state that the interview process does not affect admission. Is this really true? I would have to imagine that being interviewed (assuming the interview goes well) has to add something to an applicants resume.</p>

<p>Not Ivies, but still some top colleges on the list discussed in this thread. I was the OP, and thought of it when I saw your post. Of course if interviews are required you have to do them; they were not required at any of my D’s schools.</p>
