ditto......

Talking about top schools, Int'ls are allowed ED/SCEA at all the schools except MIT (and maybe caltech if im not mistaken)

but most of the time you're not allowed any financial aid if you do apply ED/EA

It depends on the school's policy. Most schools will allow internationals to apply ED/EA if you are not requesting for financial aid. However, if you do request for financial aid, some schools like Grinnell specifically wants you to apply during the RD round. However, do note again that some schools have a higher tendency to award financial aid to international students during ED rounds.

at MIT and CalTech ALL INT'L ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY EA.

Its mostly only the ivies that let u apply ED/EA...but some like Cornell state that no aid is awarded to ED accepteed int'l

I don't understand why MIT wouldn't allow you to apply EA, EA is non-binding, that doesn't really make sense.

How about UChicago?

UChicago follows multiple-choice EA which is open to all

Got it...
so basically there are only a few schools that allow int'l students to apply ED/EA and fin.aid simultaneously?

yes...UChicago too does not letfor aid if applied EA, by the way
