I'm just trying to get a feel for where I should be aiming and what I should expect (schools that I should safety, at my level, and are considered reach schools). Looking at:
-Ivies (I know Harvard is a crapshoot)
-Stanford
-Berkley
-Amherst
-Williams
-University of Washington
-High tier colleges in general

Many thanks, and best of luck to the rest of you!

No. I expect many rejections, especially for berkEley.

^Stop ■■■■■■■■. Imma’ slap you after our ACT

UW seems like a shoo-in, especially if you’re out of state. I live in Seattle and half my IB class is going there next year, many with way less impressive resumes, but I’ve heard they’re starting to accept more out of state applicants because out of state tuition is higher.

As for the rest, I’m not an expert but it sounds like you’re a contender for the selective schools. Haha I’m not sure how much else you CAN do, looking at your stats and ECs as long as you have great essays and recs  From there, it’s just luck, I s’pose.

Not only are most of these schools “crapshoots” in their admissions process (though I would argue that the process is largely sensical from the inside but simply appears random to applicants who have no sense of a given institution’s needs) even besides Harvard, but these eight schools are fairly diverse. To apply to all eight is foolish (though I can certainly see why someone would apply to a majority after carefully considering the environments of each).

While for strong but unhooked applicants I do recommend 8+ applications, simply throwing applicants at every T20, 25, whatever school is foolish. Carefully consider the nature of each and be sure to include a diverse range of selectivity.

Try to get CR over 700?

Standardized tests are a bit low and ECs look like they lack depth. You should be at least competitive at most top tier schools

Standardized testing too low for HYPSM, especially as an Asian American.

All of these schools, save UW and Cal, are big reaches with current scores. If you are full pay and OOS for Berkeley I’d say you have a good shot. The ECs are not there for an Asian shooting for HYPS, but with better scores, who knows at the others?

-Ivies (I know Harvard is a crapshoot) -reaches
-Stanford -high reach (they don’t accept many Asians with average stats)
-Berkley -(low match if in-state, high match if out-of-state)
-Amherst -low reach (really depends on how your essays go)
-Williams -low reach
-University of Washington -safety

u stand as good a shot as many, but better than most. with stats like that, youre gonna get there attention. but with the ivies anything can happen, u never can tell. but yeah id say u have a very high chance

i wouldnt mind a chance back =] http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/918727-chance-me-i-need-advice.html

You got a 1 on an AP test?
