are language tests necessary????

i had registered for math IIC, physics and english literature for 4th june because someone told me that it is necessary to take a language test

is it necessary???

now, ive been preparin for literature but i havent got a good score on the practice tests. i thought about wat i could do and here is what i came up with:

plz tell me if these are possible and which one i should go for.

skip the literature test altogether and just give math IIc and physics.

my question here is- what will appear on my score report, that i took two tests or that i took three and got 200(or the lowest score possible) on literature.

take math IC instead of literature.
is it possible to chage the tests like this?

also, whom do i have to inform in each case??

please tell me which one should i go for!!

NO, it isn't.

not for most colleges at least. ask your college conselour. but i'm 99 percent sure.

You will never recieve a score for a test that you do not physically take.

Since all the tests are in the same booklet, you can take any 3 tests you want (except for foreign language and listening). That means you can take Math IC instead of literature. You don't have to inform anyone.

ok.........so now which choice shld i go for???? will colleges ask for third score if i send only two????

AFAIK, most colleges will take 2 sat ii's so long as you took the new SAT w/ writing (basically meaning they want the same thing as they did before - the old sat I plus writing plus 2 sat ii's), but it varies from college to college.

Don't freak out if you don't take the literature. You'll lose $8.00 that's it. Most schools require 2 tests now, a small number, Harvard for example, require three.
