Hello everyone, I am an international student and I am thinking of applying to a CC to transfer to a 4 years university in the stated majors. As I have done my research, certain CCs provide good transfer program to a good UC, like Santa Monica, De Anza etc ( I have only researched about Cal Colleges and CCs), but I am not sure if such course work intensive majors done in CC would be transferable to the Unis. Yes I know about the articulation, agreement and the TAG or TAP, but from some threads in this section, it seems that some students with a 3.8 or 4.0 were rejected from UBC EECS, and most transfer profiles I have seen major in Psychology or Business, with very few to none profile that majors in Engineering or Computer Science. So it seems that as long as you complete the GED and all the major prerequisites, get the Associate Degree along with a competitive GPA and a personal statement, you will be able to transfer, but what are the chances for a student who fulfills all of the above to transfer to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCD? Are there any CCs outside California that have such good transfer program for Engineering/CS? I know Green River College is a good one, but can anyone suggest other CCs? My targets are UMN twincites, Rutger, Ohio State, Arizona State, University of Maryland College Park, Purdue, and any stated UCs if I am able to get in.
