Do employers pay attention to minors at all, or do they just look at your transcript/the classes you've taken? For example, is there a difference between taking lots of finance classes and earning a minor (essentially ~5 classes) in finance or between being fluent in Spanish (a couple classes) and getting a minor in Spanish?

I’m not an employer, but in my personal opinion, minors don’t do much for you in terms of prospects - it’s more for personal enlightenment.

On the other end of the spectrum, it can depend however - especially if the minor is in a related field. For instance, a minor/concentration in petroleum/petrochemistry with a BS in Chemical Engineering can concentrate and gear you more towards a career in the petroleum world. Does it help in getting the position? I don’t know.

major in what you need to make money
minor in what you like

You may eventually do what you like for a living, and in that case your minor becomes your major.

Quick question-would a minor in business give you a better chance at mangement?

I disagree. Major in what truly interests you because that will make it easier to wake up in the morning and work. Hopefully, the money will come too.

I have a question, what if you minor in engineering, general. And major in aerospace engineering.?

I doubt most programs even allow that since you’d probably cover 90% of the requirements through your major.
