I'm getting my degree in applied math, and I just found out that the program isn't ABET accredited. It's not an engineering program, so does it matter? Is this going to end up hurting me somehow?

This is from a top 100 school, so it's a legit program, but I'm still worried.

don’t worry about it…

I don’t think it matters at all.

Does ABET accredit any applied math programs? It’s news to me if they do.

ABET doesn’t accredit applied math programs at all.

There is an ABET division for “applied science” programs, but the focus there is on subjects like surveying, industrial management, industrial hygiene, or health and safety.

Thank you all very much. I googled ABET accreditation, and it was a little unclear as to whether or not all applied science programs should be accredited. I guess not.
