I've just finished my first semester at UMD with approximately a 3.7 gpa. Unfortunately, I received a B (or possibly a B+) in general chemistry for engineers. I know that gen chem is a pre med requirement, and I also know it is extremely competitive to get into medical school, so I was wondering if I still have a chance at med school. Also, I plan on taking Orgo I next semester and if I get an A will that override the B I received in general chem?
