Hi everyone,
I'm about to enter junior year of hs and I'm considering Columbia as my reach, dream school right now. I have an A+ average currently, took three honor classes 10th grade, will be taking 4 APs this year and most likely 6 senior year. What's unique about me is one, i'm a first generation American and student to go to college. I'm technically not American I'm actually French and my parents gave up so much for us to move to America and I moved here 6 years ago, anyways, I was wondering if those two things give me an edge. I'm also involved in lots of ec's and take leadership in school I'm a peer leader and about to form my own dance club I have a passion for dance but mostly one for journalism so I did an online journalism internship this summer and will be an editor for my school's newspaper. There is one non-advanced class, though, that I'm taking, pre calc regular, and i was wondering if just because of one class, I'd be lowering my chances of acceptance. I'md efinitely thinking of applying early, as I know if I'm the good fit, there's a greater chance I'll get accepted.
Thanks
