I'm going to be a junior in high school and I've done cross country and track. Unfortunately, due to a chronic, serious injury, I don't think I'll be able to participate in cross country this fall. I had a pretty good first season last year and, my best time was a 20:38 for the 5k, (with hills). My coach said I have a lot of potential and that I could be really good, but now that I'm injured, it's like I'm useless. Colleges like well-rounded students, and there's a great possiblity that I might not be able to run again for a long time. I'm not planning to run in school because I want to double major, but will this ruin my chances of getting into a good school? These are my stats so far:

Gender: Female
Race: mixed

Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.0
Weighted GPA (out of 6.0): 5.7
Class rank: Not sure yet, but definitely in top 10% as of now, possibly top 5%
Classes: Mostly all honors. I had a schedule conflict last year and had to take a lower level Spanish class. By the end of HS, I'll have 5 years of math including Calculus, 5 years of a world language (4 Spanish, 1 Latin), and some APs. (Hopefully 7 if nothing goes wrong)
SAT: haven't taken it, but will take PSAT in October, and SAT in December

Activities:
1 yr. spring track (couldn't do it sophomore year because of injury)
1 yr. XC
1 yr. winter track
1 musical
Environmental Club
FCCLA
Will be in NHS
Hopefully, I can get a rock climbing club started! We have a wall at our school and we only use it for gym classes, but I hope to get it started!
