Are my ECs too weak for very selective LACs?

EC’s that I will be in until estimated senior year:

  • Choir 3 years (9th-12th)
  • Ultimate frisbee 3 years (9th-12th)
  • Civil rights 3 years (10th/11th/12th)
  • Film club 2 years (11th/12th)
  • NHS 2 years (11th/12th)
  • Drama crew 2 years (11th/12th)
  • Academic decathlon 1 year (10th)
  • So far 65+ hrs of volunteering and worked a summer job at McDonalds (which I probably won't put on my resume)

So far I have no leadership positions in any of them. :frowning: My gpa is not that great either. It’s a 3.9 weighted and my SAT I predict won’t be that great as well. However, I had taken most of the rigorous courses my college prep school had to offer.

What schools (% acceptance based) should I consider applying to? Are 30% acceptance rate schools a reach for me?

I think you’ll be fine for schools like NYU, etc. with a 30% acceptance rate.
If you took the hardest classes in your school I’m sure your grades will be excused; besides, they’re not anything to worry about unless you’re applying to top 10, top 20 schools.
