As a rising senior, my grades, SAT score, and rank are all fine, but I'm afraid that I'm lacking in the EC area. It might just be that the overacheivers on this website have corrupted my vision of an applicant with decent/good EC's, but who knows. Here they are:

Celtic Society--9th-12th
-possibly Vice President sr. year

LaSallian Club (my school's serice club)--9-12th
-Secretary sr. year

National Honor Society--10th-12th
- Director of Special Projects (i.e. recycling/tutoring) sr. year

Newspaper--11th-12th
-Assistant editor both years

Bass Guitar--played for 6 years
- in two bands, one of which has played a number of benefit gigs
-also play a number of other instruments (guitar & glockenspiel) and write songs

Tutoring--11th-12th
-started a tutoring program at a school in a high crime, low income neighborhood
- also will work as a paid tutor this summer

Work as an Usher at a Theatre--11th-12th

And I'm also going to work/do more volunteering this summer. My main concern is lack of focus/dedication, and that my EC's are generally just not good enough.

BTW, I'm a first gen student of Irish immigrants.

I'm going to be applying to schools like:
-Wesleyan
-Vassar
-Tufts
-Bard
-Sarah Lawrence
-Macaulay at Hunter College
-Hampshire College
-Columbia/Brown ED

THANKS!
