Are my SAT Subject scores too low for Cornell?

I sent all my scores to Cornell:
580- Math 1 (Freshman Year)
650- Biology M(Freshman Year)
800- Chemistry(Senior year) and 5 on the AP exam
750- Math 1( Senior Year)
780- Math 2(Senior Year)/4 on the AP Stats exam

Will my low freshman year scores along with my sub par math 2 score hurt my chances at admission? (anything below 800 on on Math 2 is not good according to many CCers)

I want to major in Biochemistry with a minor in programming BTW!

All responses are greatly appreciated!!!

First off your MathIIC score is more than fine, it’s excellent. The vast majority of CCers have no basis to judge from and therefore have a completely inaccurate perception of reality.

As for the low scores, I can only speak from experience but I had a 570/600 Bio/mathII from sophomore year and retook both at the beginning of senior year and got 730/770. So I don’t think it’s going to hurt you.

It’s my understanding that even schools that don’t superscore only look at scores from junior or senior year. My son took the SATs in 7th grade for CTY and of course his scores then were much lower than what he got in 11th grade. You do need to take the SATs again, though (unless you didn’t post your scores here).

Jingle, I am asking about the SAT Subject tests not the reasoning test.

Those scores are fine. I doubt the admissions people will take the freshman scores very seriously.

i got in with
world history-640
U.s. history- 650
math ic- 640

So no they’re fine.

I was accepted ED (engineering), and your scores are eerily similar to mine

Bio E: 710 (Freshman year)
Chemistry: 800 (Junior year)
Math 2c: 770 (Junior year)

A 710 as a freshman? You’re a beast. @OP: You’re fine.

umm i got accepted with SAT I scores of 490 on writing,680 on math, and 630 on critical reading. woot woot
