Are my statements too short?

<p>I finished my application to UW-Madison a couple weeks ago and just found a page on their website that says the recommended length for each statement is 250-500 words. I didn't realize that there was a recommended length when I wrote the essays because it said nothing about it on the application.</p>

<p>My first statement was 225 words and my second was 100 words.</p>

<p>Do the counselors look at the applications expecting 250+ words? -will it hurt my chance at admission if my essays are decent but short?</p>

<p>I think you’ll be fine; they can’t expect you to fit parameters that weren’t even on the app.</p>
