Are my stats good enough to get into a UC if so which ones?

Are my stats good enough to get into a UC? Here they are…I’m a junior in high school I have a 3.4 GPA, 32 on ACT, and a 1410 on SAT. I am part of 3 club cabinets in school including key club, FBLA, and JSA and serve as ASB Secretary. I am very interested in politics and have served as an intern for a Congress Campaign and in the office of a congresswoman. I will be attending boys state and am a 2nd degree black belt.

UC’s only use your 10-11th grades for the a-g course requirements for their GPA calculation. You get up to 8 semesters (4 year long courses) of extra honors points in the calculation for UC approved Honors (If a California HS student), AP/IB or Dual Enrollment courses taken during this time. Your GPA looks a little on the light side since the majority of the UC’s have an average UC capped weighted GPA of 4.0+. Your SAT/ACT look competitive and EC’s show your interest in your intended major.

What GPA is it, unweighted, weighted, or UC GPA? Assuming that it’s weighted, you’re probably looking at UCR or UCM.

Its unweighted

How many APs have you taken?

A better assessment would take place once you figured out your UC capped weighted GPA, but given what you have so far you’re probably looking at UCSC possibly, UCR and UCM.

3.6 weighted

Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.40-3.79:

UCB: 1.8%
UCLA: 2.2%
UCSD: 7.2%
UCSB: 10.1%
UCI: 11.1%
UCD: 16.6%
UCSC: 43.8%
UCR: 63.3%
UCM: 88.7%

Target schools UC Merced and Riverside. 50//50 UC Santa Cruz. The rest would be Reaches.

Plenty of good options in the Cal state system especially Sacramento state for Political Science.

I think you’ll get into Merced, the rest will be a stretch.

Hoping you applied broadly (including some CSUs) and have several options in the Fall

Good luck
