Are non-NY residents at a disadvantage when applying to state endowed schools?

<p>Not really, but the school selects a certain amount of in-state students.</p>

<p>In the current environment, you maybe at an advantage if you are out of state - higher tuition.</p>

<p>Don’t know about ILR or HumEc but I know the CALS Administration likes to keep a 1:2 ratio of NYS:OOS.</p>

<p>but that’s not necesariy a disadvantage because i would say that the number of applications is very close to that 1:2 ratio of New yorkers to OOS</p>
