Are online teacher recs ok?

The supplement states that "This application includes two Teacher Evaluation forms. After completing your portion of the forms, you should give them to teachers in different academic subjects who know you well, and preferably have taught you during your final two years of school. As a courtesy to your teachers, you might provide them with stamped envelopes addressed to Harvard Admissions."

Does this mean that they require written recommendations? Or are the online recs on the
Common App website a viable option as well? I guess this question applies for all ivies too. Thanks for the help.

Looking at my old notes on the computer, D had her teachers use the Common Application Teacher Recommendation Form for her Harvard recommendations.

Opps I just noticed that you wanted to know if it had to be paper VS electronic. What I would assume is that if Common Ap allows you to submit the recommendations electronically to Harvard then Harvard allows that as an option.

pretty sure online recs are OK

If your teacher submits the form online then its submitted to the school.

I did online recs last year and worked great.
