Are people still waiting for admission decisions? (transfer or freshmen)

I applied late... over a month late. I had to send my application with a petition letter and all that fun stuff. But what I want to know is--have all the "normal" admission decisions been made? Or are people still waiting?

I am interested in both freshmen or transfer (I am a transfer).

ya, before may 1st. i bet most people have decided already.

I'm a transfer and have not heard anything yet. I did get my application in on time. The wait is killing me.

yeah, for sure. What does your app status say? Mine says:

Your application for admission as a Transfer student to the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2006 was entered in our data base on April 7, 2006.

Your application is awaiting an initial review.

April 7, 2006  ahh! that is super late. It goes on to say that applications received on or just prior to the deadline will take longer to process. Uh, how about way, way later ;) Applicants are notified beginning June through July--so I guess there is time.

Wow, UW's Fall quarter starts about a month after my current school's Fall semester.

Mine says:

Your application for admission as a Transfer student to the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2006 was entered in our data base on February 16, 2006.

The status of your application was last updated on March 13, 2006.

All materials required to review your application have been received. Your application has been advanced to the full review process, and will remain in this status until decisions become available. When a decision is made, you will be notified via postal mail.

whoa. Mine hasn't even begun anything yet. So, are all notifications done by mail? Or would the status page show the decision?

They mail the decisions to you. I'm pretty sure the status page will not tell you if you got in or not.

Your application for admission as a Freshman student to the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2006 was entered in our data base on December 12, 2005.

The status of your application was last updated on April 19, 2006.

We received your petition requesting special consideration. We will notify you by mail when a decision has been reached.

G'luck Schoe101.

As for GrassR00t, you can check to see if you were accepeted or not once your status has changed to "Your application has been reviewed..." Just click on your unofficial transcript and look for "Admitted for Autumn 2006".

Ok, my status changed from:

Your application is awaiting an initial review.

to:

The status of your application was last updated on May 4, 2006.

Did anyone else's status change? Or get a decision?

aMeng, where is the "unofficial transcript" link?

No change on mine.

Your "unofficial transcript" is one of the headings when you log into MyUW.

I'm still waiting on my (transfer) decision and wondering what I should do. I was accepted today to another school and I have to notify them by June 4th. If I get accepted to WA, I definitely will go, but I'm wondering if I'll get the decision in time.

I plan on call them asap, but other than that...I don't know what to do.

Sounds like you still have about a month... wait a couple weeks, then send them an email. Is it only between these two schools?

Yes, only between two. The reason why I am worried is because I probably won't receive the decision until "June-July" according to the status application page. I submitted all of my materials by Feb. 15th and they confirmed all of them by March 10th. It's a little past the review period of 6-8 weeks, so hopefully I get an answer soon.

I've been wondering what penalty there is, if any, for initially commiting and then not going.

June 4th, what do you you need to do? Something like a deposit and an "intent to enroll?" Usually you can pay and file, then, if something comes up, cancel and lose your deposit.

I am not sure if there are any repercussions for doing so... but life happens, so I am sure this type of stuff is not uncommon.

Try asking in the forum of the college to which you were accepted, or email them directly with your questions (maybe from an email address they don't have on file).

My status was just changed to :

Your application for admission as a Freshman student to the University of Washington for autumn quarter 2006 was entered in our data base on December 2, 2005.

The status of your application was last updated on May 10, 2006.

Your application has been reviewed. All applicants are informed of admission decisions by mail when results of the review process become available.

Because I got into UWB, I can't check the unofficial transcript link for UW seattle. DO I just have to wait until something comes in the mail?

You may just have to wait... but there seems like there are a few links on the "Student" tab of MyUW. Under "Class Schedule" Do you have a student number? My says: "username" does not have a student number. Also, various other links under the "Student Personal Services" section hint that my application has not been completely reviewed yet... maybe you can get some info from there?

under the student tab of MyUW i have all the links for Seattle Campus and Bothell campus. "Academic Planning, Seattle Campus", "Academic Planning, Bothell Campus". There are more links for finance for each campus as well. Does everyone have those links on their page?

As far as the class schedule goes i have a student number and it says i haven't registered yet.

Any updates?
washingtonian151, did you hear anything?

(bump)
