Are SAT 2 still important or helpful?

A lot of schools (like all the UC's) no longer require SAT 2; would submitting SAT 2 scores still help then, or are they completely useless for those colleges?

It would not hurt to include them if you have them.

Go here for the UC’s guidelines for subject tests: [University of California - SAT Subject Tests](http://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/admissions/freshman/requirements/examination-requirement/SAT-subject-tests/index.html)

bump, anyone NOT taking the SAT IIs or care less about them because of this?

honestly… i’m not taking sat subject tests. like i’m majoring in international relations… there’s really no point in me taking a sat subject test in math, science, or history… you know what I mean?

It should be an enhancement to your college apps and it should relate to your interests and intended major in college. Like if you’re planning on majoring in biology… then you should take the bio subject test along with probably chemistry as well.
