Are SAT scores EVERYTHING?

I just got a 2070 on my SAT (superscored 2080)
Cr 680
M 720 (730 on dec)
W 670 (up 30 pts.. I can't seem to get above an 8 on the essay >.<)

I feel like I have everything else though... I'm pretty sure I'm top 5 if not top 20 at my school (class of about 400), officer of 2/4 clubs, very involved in research (was a siemens semifinalist and just made it to day 2 of my REGIONAL ISEF (about 150 of 450 projects moved on and then about 12? Will go onto ISEF), and I will be doing more research this summer with hopefully a vlunteer job at the hospital nearby

My dream school is brown! Should I keep busting my ass over this test?

oh and I have two sat IIs
Bio 780
Chem 760
Both only taken after honors not AP
And I have had the most difficult courseload possible since 8th grade

But I guess that stuff is besides the point to my more general question

First of all, congratulations! I want to go to brown as well and my SAT score was not up to par, I got a 1990. I think for Brown, personally, I wouldn’t be happy with anything less than a 2150. That being said, Brown looks at many things besides your SAT score as in essays, EC’s, GPA, and rank. However, most kids applying to Brown are going to be perfectionists. Why leave any doubt in your mind? Might as well retake and have an awesome SAT score to match your other credentials.

@Thispakistanigir its not that simple >.< I’m just apparently incapable of taking the test
out of the 3 times (if you include PSAT) my scores have stayed almost exactly the same when i’ve studied more and more each time
I guess I’ll try the ACT but part of me is dying inside that I just can’t do the SAT right :(
