Im a junior, and by May, I will have taken 6 AP tests, Chemistry, Bio, English Lit, US Gov, German, and Calc BC.

Is there really any reason to take SATIIs in those subjects? I don't see why, but maybe there is some advantage.

ironically, the SAT IIs are weighted a lot more then your AP scores in terms of admissions so you gotta take them

you dont have to take all of them. just the subjects that your doing the best at.

If the schools you are applying to require SAT II's, yes, you must take them. Colleges use AP Tests only for credit/placement, not for admissions decisions. You cannot substitute one for the other.

The only way to get out of SAT IIs is to take the ACT - some schools accept the ACT in lieu of both SAT I and SAT IIs. Then again, some still require SAT II. It all depends on where you're applying.

Well, I will probably apply to small liberal arts colleges, and most of them say it is optional.

Then, you should take the subjects that you excel at and do well on them to show those colleges that you are different than the average joe who applies to those schools.
