Are snail mail rejection and acceptance letters sent out shorty after decision update on portal?

Specifically hoping @Dean J will come an answer(: but If anyone else knows thats awesome too.

I’m weird in that I don’t want to check my all my decisions day by day immediately after they come out, I just want to wait until the last one comes in and then check them all at once. UVA is ( probably ) going to be one of the earlier ones to come out and I don’t want any snail mail to come before the last decision notification comes back on March 29th.

Only acceptance letters/welcome packets come by snail mail. Rejections, deferrals, and wait lists, are only available via SIS

How soon after would these packets come?

Hopefully in the next week. I got accepted and live in New England. No packet from UVA yet

Congratulations to all the new Hoos! My Son was accepted EA to SEAS last year and is a happy, hardworking first year. I recommend that you print your acceptance letter that you see in SIS right now because the one we got via US Mail was different. We regret not having a copy of the one on SIS the day he was accepted. That was the one that caused all the excitement and great memories. That letter will be on SIS for a little while but does go away.

I am interested too. Please someone post if they receive a snail mail admissions congratulations or acceptance letter/packet in the New England area. Thanks!
