The First 1-3 tests I will score around 670-680 but on some tests I will like dip into the 620's and 630's, and this really confuses me because some questions get labeled as hard and really are not hard at all.

For all positive integers j and k, let j[R]k be defined as the whole number remainer when j is divided by k. If 13[r]k =2. what is the value of k?

k = 11.

At first when I saw this question I thought their was some kind of trick to it or some kind of curve ball, I said to my self " no way can a hard question #17 be that easy" but to my shock the answer was indeed 11. Anyone mind giving some advice on how someone can truly gauge himself in the SAT math?
