Are the PR ACT practice tests accurate???

Every time I take a PR practice test I get 31-32…Is this an accurate score?? Will I get a similar score on my Oct 24th ACT?

Well, I had both the PR Cracking the ACT and the red official ACT book. On the PR practice tests, I usually would get 29-30 compared to 32-33 on the red ACT book. So I’ll say that the PR is a little bit harder than the red official ACT book (which is the prep book that is most like the ACT itself).

Nah…I think PR, Barrons, Mcgrawhills, Kaplan and other 3rd parties’ books are not as good as released test. Red book + all released books are enough for +30

As far as score is concerned PR is pretty accurate. You need to take like 3 points off the Red Book Real ACT score: they make it easier so people will take the ACT rather than the SAT.

@sattut Really? So are you saying that the SAT official guide is made by stupid CollegeBoard people who don’t know that putting easier tests in the book can attract test takers? As far as I know, the SAT can be equally smart in this way compared to the ACT. And I think the Big Red practice tests are just like any other actual ACTs (in fact they ARE actual ACTs). I say this with certainty because I’ve also done other released ACTs, and my scores on the Big Red and past ACTs don’t have much, if any, difference.

BTW, even if the ACT people chose easier forms of the ACT for the Big Red, there are also harsh curves (skips in reading and science, if you wouldn’t mind taking a close look at the Red Book).

@sattut Your statement above is not accurate. Why do you say the Red Book is easier?

The Red Book has REAL ACT Tests released by the ACT. The tests are old, but it are still a valuable resource.
