Are the Preparing for the ACT 2012-2013 questions realistic?

I am scoring in the low 30's in the booklet while my previous scores were high 20's. Am I getting better or is the booklet easier than the real deal?

some of these questions are f’ing hard… i really hope the one on Saturday won’t be like this.

I’ve only glanced at the practice test (for helping other CC students – I’m not preparing myself since I’m already in college lol). IMO the test looks fairly reasonable difficulty, haven’t seen any bizarre or unusually difficult questions.

I hope they are hard. I did well on that and got a 31. On the red book tests, I keep getting like 28-30s

the word on the street is that the practice booklet test actually is a test from a past year, or at least draws from the same bank of questions that official tests do, so you can count on it.

I got the exact same score on it that I’ve been getting on the red book, though for some reason, it feels different from other practice tests… I don’t know what it is though.

i looked it up and the 2012-2013 practice test was originally given in June 2009, so it IS a real retired test.
