Are the schools I'm applying for good for finance?

A little information about how I selected these schools:

  • I chose schools that were not too far from me. I’m from New York City.
  • I chose schools that are in/near urban cities (with a few exceptions).
  • I have a 1700 SAT and a 3.6 GPA. I’ll be taking the SAT again, but for now I am hoping this is good enough.
  • I chose schools that had a decent business school, in case I lost interest in specifically finance.

I was wondering if these are good choices?

  • Babson College
  • Bentley University
  • Boston University
  • Bryant University
  • Fordham University
  • Hofstra University
  • Lehigh University
  • SUNY Binghamton University
  • Temple University
  • University of Connecticut
  • University of Massachusetts: Amherst
  • Baruch College
  • Rutgers University

Please tell me what you guys think! Including schools you think I should add and schools you think I should take out and why.

@infinitewinds Bryant is a good choice as is Baruch, Temple and Hofstra. The others will be very tough to impossible to get in with a 1700.

I would add Siena College, St. Bonaventure, Scranton, Manhattan College and Rowan. These are all AACSB accredited.

Make sure you run the Net Price Calculator on each school’s web site. You have some public Us on that list which are out of state and will not offer any need based aid (except your $5500 loan as a freshman).

St. Bonaventure is in the boonies
