I think we've all heard the "preppy, stuck-up kids from private school" stereotype. I've visited Fairfield twice and I think it's my top choice. The people have seemed nice when I've been there.
Does anyone have any input? Anyone go there or have kids that go there? Is the stereotype accurate? I don't mean in terms of diversity, as I'm aware Fairfield is definitely not the most diverse campus, but are the students generally welcoming people?

This stereotype is incredibly accurate. I heard this stereotype before I decided to come here thinking that it wasn’t true, but it is. The school is not diverse at all. If you’re into vineyard vines and lily pulitzer, then go here. But if you’re looking for a college that is diverse and doesn’t have students that all seem like clones, don’t go here.

Fairfield is very welcoming! My daughter is a graduate 2014, employed and very nice as were all her friends.
