I know that the majority of the students are white. If I'm asian, would I have a hard time there? Do people look at you/treat you differently if you're from a different ethnicity? I really want to go there b/c of their stellar programs, but I don't want to go somewhere where I don't fit in and will give me a hard time. Please tell me your honest opinions.

They only look at you differently if you act odd and try to stand out. Kenyon students are generally accepting of everyone.

Actually I feel as if my daughter became MORE Asian at Kenyon..she has taken Mandarin and other Asia(n) related courses and has learned more about her culture than her own Asian parents and grandparents know...and told me she feels more Chinese than ever before! That is the truth.

No, no question, there are not.

I agree. I felt more Mexican when I was here than I ever did before and I came from an entirely minority-filled high school and city. I met a professor who was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage and taught me to be proud of mine and I did research on Minutemen for a sociology professor whose in love with studying in and about Mexico. So no, don't worry about it -- Kenyon in all respects is accepting of everyone unless like MolBioAce06, you act odd and try to stand out (in a negative way).
