I'm interested in greek life, but I'm also going to be an engineering major, which is pretty time consuming. I was just wondering if there are any engineers who are also greek. If so, how hard is it to balance greek life with academics? Is it inconvenient living in a sorority on south campus if all your classes are at tech? Does being involved with co-ops impact your greek life?

There are a few, though female engineers are rare enough to begin with. I know one who manages it brilliantly, but she’s brilliant by NU standards, so it helps. Definitely doable, but it hinges on your own capacitiy.

I know of one engineer in a sorority. She said she LOVED living on South campus (she lived there for 3 years) and it gave her a better sense of the campus as a whole; she got the chance to meet people on both sides of the campus. I don’t think balancing her sorority life was difficult for her at all.

I can’t answer as to how hard it is, but I do know three girls who are greek/engineers. It seems like they manage it well.
