<p>I know it may be too late, but I was wondering if there are any notable summer programs that will still take apps, preferably ones that are free/cheap and don't require teacher recs--but these two aren't big concerns.</p>

<p>AAJA J camp’s deadline is April 2, but it requires a teacher rec… </p>
<p>Also if you live in NY, NJ, CT, there’s the NYU urban journalism program, but that also reqs a teacher rec. the deadline’s in may.</p>
<p>If you live in Northeast Ohio, the Junior Ambassador program at the Cleveland Clinic.</p>
<p>Also, if you contact a bunch of nearby societies, you could probably volunteer with them…</p>
