Are there any top colleges that dont factor in freshman gpa.

My freshman year i got a 3.3 . My sophomore year i got a 3.7 and right now in my junior year im on track of getting a 4.0 . Are there any schools that dont factor in freshman grades because the 3.3 is weighing me down.

It is my recollection that Johns Hopkins and McGill don’t count the 9th grade

Public universities in California do not use 9th grade course grade in calculating GPA, although C or higher grades are necessary for the courses taken in 9th grade to meet subject requirements in English, math, etc… However, the semi-holistic review at some of the most selective public universities in California will see the 9th grade course grades along with other grades.

How about Virginia Tech, UVA, Duke?

Stanford and Princeton, I believe. Though of course those are teaches from everyone. I second the UC suggestion. UCLA, UCB, and UCSD are all top colleges that don’t consider freshman gpa

I am pretty sure Duke doesn’t and I know Carnegie Mellon does not.

While those schools many not factor freshmen grades into their recalculation of GPA, all except the UCs look closly at rank which does include freshmen year.

Stanford doesn’t

University of Michigan doesn’t.
