are there any universities in california that offer guaranteed merit scholarships?

*i plan on going into civil/environmental engineering

and i have no problem going to a less than stellar school, i’d much rather attend a lesser school for cheaper than a better one for less, **and my family has said that unless i get offered a lot of money from some school i will have to go to san jacinto community college and stay living at home… D: * **

Since other threads, you’ve mentioned that you need a “full ride” or “full tuition” scholarship, does that mean that your parents will pay very little for your education? If so, how much will they spend each year??? $5k??? $10k??? what?

The problem with many west coast schools is that you need a LOT of merit. Yes, there are some privates that might cut your cost down a bit with merit, but your remaining costs will be high.
