Are there different acceptance rates for different programs at universities?

Upenn is as you all probably know, an ivy league so that explains their <10% acceptance rate. But i looked into their programs and saw on one obscure site that it was >50% for their nursing program. So including UPenn and other universities, are there different acceptance rates for different programs at the school? I just think that it would be quite…weird? if an ivy league like Penn and CMU or a high ranked university like Tufts, Boston, etc which all have low acceptance rates have somewhat high acceptance rates for different programs (e.g. arts, nursing, history, etc)

For some schools, you apply to the university as a whole and can major in anything once you get there. For other schools, you apply to a specific college (the college of engineering, college of nursing, college of arts and sciences, etc.) and it’s harder to change your major to something outside that college. In the latter case, the different colleges will usually have different acceptance rates.
