Are there different versions of the SAT...

I know this is a dumb question, but I don't know the answer. Did the SAT I took in October have the exact same questions as someone who took it in another state or something.

Also, when it shows my percentile...that is from the particular month.. right?

I scored a 2020 in May, and a 1860 in October. I honestly can't figure it out.

1.yes, everyone takes the same test.
2.percentile is that particular month

no, i'm pretty sure percentile is based on the SAT scores of the previous graduating class.

Just offer another opinion--

I think there are different versions of the SAT. See <a href="http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/after/highlights.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/after/highlights.html</a> that pages seems to indicate there are different versions. Also, I read in a prep book somewhere that there is no point looking at how fast ppl around you are turning pages on the test because they may have a different version.

As regards percentiles, I understand that they are calculated over a year. See this page: <a href="http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/scores/understanding/percentiles.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/scores/understanding/percentiles.html</a>
See particularly this paragraph on that page: "Percentiles are based on the most recent scores earned by students in the previous year's graduating class who took SAT tests anytime during high school." I don't think they are calculated monthly.

Hope that helps.
