Hi does anyone know any Emory alumns in NYC or NJ? I am from the South Bronx and really want to get into school there and am having difficulty finding alumns. Also how would I schedule an interview with them?
From the [Emory website](Frequently Asked Questions | Emory University | Atlanta GA )
For the 2014-2015 application cycle, the Office of Admission is continuing to offer a pilot alumni interviewing program. Interviews will be conducted by invitation only. Applicants will be unable to request an interview. Invitations will be extended to Regular Decision candidates after the review of applications has begun. The opportunity to interview will not be extended to Early Decision applicants. Please note, alumni interviews are not required for admission to Emory College or Oxford College. The lack of an interview will not adversely affect your candidacy as many successful applicants will not be interviewed.
In the third year of the alumni interview program, interviews will be offered in the following 12 cities: Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, Raleigh-Durham, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa Bay, and London, England. For applicants in these cities, once application review is under way, you may receive an invitation to interview via email. Because applications go through several reviews, it is impossible to predict when or whether an applicant will be invited to an admission interview.
There are 838 members of the Emory Alumni Association’s New York Chapter Facebook group (CC won’t let me link to it).
Wait is that implying th at t if we do get an interview were a borderline applicant.
Not at all. And if I recall, whenhen attended Oxford, didn’t you apply there?
@BrownParent Oxford is part of Emory.
^but yes I applied to the Oxford part of Emory because there’s a smaller student body
Yes, I know. I just wanted you to know that you have someone who attended post here.
