This is my first time positing on these forums, and I was just curious if a 3.25 gpa with an ACT score of 28 are goos numbers for getting into a selective school like Northwestern? So far, I’ve taken 6 AP classes: Biology, English Language and Composition, Chemistry, Physics, Literature, and Government. What do you guys think?
A gpa of 3.25 and an ACT of 28 can get you into a very good college or university where you will receive an outstanding education, but not necessarily an elite one.
Learn to read the Common Data Set for each school you are interested in. Generally, you want your gpa and scores to fall within the mid-50% range of students that they accept. Currently, your scores are low for NU, but there are lots of wonderful alternatives out there.
I’m sorry, mate. A 3.25 GPA is too low for NorthWestern, and your ACT score isn’t outstanding as well (it’s average), not to be discouraging here, just truthful. Try to get your GPA up, seriously.
