Are these good classes to be taking in high school?

<p>Hey guys, I was just wondering how my high school courses will look to colleges. (I am a rising sophomore)</p>

<p>Freshman year I took... Honors Pre-Calculus, Honors English, Spanish 2, Honors Government & Economics, Honors Chemistry, AP Physics B, gym</p>

<p>Sophomore year I will take... AP Chemistry, College Calculus (AP weighted), Honors Biology, Honors US History, Academic English, Honors Spanish 3, gym</p>

<p>Junior yr I will take...AP Calc BC, AP European History, Honors English, Honors Global Studies, Honors Spanish 4, AP Economics, gym</p>

<p>Senior yr I'll take...AP Literature, AP US gov/politics, AP Spanish 5, AP Psychology, AP Statistics, AP Biology, gym</p>

<p>I took all those classes freshman year. Well I self studied for half of them.</p>

<p>^I know, right? My school fails completely. We only have TWO AP classes left because of our horrible budget. It’s AP Biology and AP something else, I think it’s Calculus AB but I’m not sure.</p>

<p>And I dominate English, I’ll be taking that one and only AP class this year when school starts</p>

<p>To futurexecutive, in my school district its commonplace for kids who are in advanced classes in elementary school to take algebra 2, a bridge class (algebra 2 and precal in one year) or precal as freshman. I’m the most advanced person in my class and I took BC this year as a freshman.
And to Extemp, I assume AP Spanish 5 is AP Spanish Lit</p>

<p>I took Algebra 1 in 6th grade, geometry in 7th, algebra 2 in 8th</p>

<p>yeah at my school there were sophomores and freshman in my BC class. </p>

<p>I feel like if you are good student, you could handle that schedule. It is laid out really well. Like its really balanced every year. Thumbs up.</p>

<p>Take at least one physics course before you graduate! Do you have room in your junior year?</p>

<p>Also, just focus on getting a good sample of different areas as an underclassman. Your ideas about your schedule WILL change as you learn about different courseloads for different subjects and what classes you really enjoyed. At the end of my freshman year, I was convinced I would be totally humanities focused. I took AP world my sophomore year and an Asian history course. I enjoyed both, but I enjoyed my honors chem class a lot more. Junior year I fell in love with physics and calculus. So as a rising senior, I will be taking AP chem, AP physics c, AP calc bc, AP Spanish, and AP 2D. As a rising sophomore, my schedule wouldve looked more like ap Spanish, ap physics b, ap calc bc, ap art history and ap comparative gov. So seriously, don’t be so set on the classes you will take in another year because you may be very different by then.</p>

<p>oops! sorry, must’ve missed that one. either way, don’t stress about creating an entire four year plan right now. find out what you enjoy and do what you want. the courses would come naturally. :)</p>
