(these are the significant ones; I'm an aspiring engineer)

Thanks! :)

These are all good ECs. They show that you are very engaged in your community, have leadership and organizational skills, are committed, and well-rounded. If you are at a large school, it’s even more impressive than if you are at a small school because, presumably, there was more competition to get these positions.

ya liv4physics, you have very good EC’s.
its enough for the universities to see you’ve done alot in your comunity.

Aww thanks 335, it means a lot.

M’s Mom, thanks for replying to this! My school’s about 1200 students, and I actually did have to fight for my positions, haha.

i just dont get one thing, how do u find out if their is any volunteering jobs in your community?!?

<< cout bad computer;

What’s wrong w/ur comp???

And there’s many ways, I would recoimmend talking to ur school’s community service office, they provide a wealth of useful resorses and our theyre too help u srsly it’s there job!!!

oh, no thats just a joke i used from computer programming (c++)

what does “craigslist” mean??

Wait I dont now way u mean, would u care to explain pls???

not really, how about i expain to u on private message, ow wait i cant send u one becuase your inbox is full.
could you please delete some so i can PM you.

Wow, this thread seems more like a kids’ corner.

OP, since you are an aspiring engineer, I recommend that you look into more ECs. Frankly, colleges look upon your current ECs as something more of a cliche. That is to say, it is very common to have the ECs that you describe. If you mean by “good ECs” that these are enough to place you out of college EC requirements, then no. You need more in today’s competitive college admissions.

I don’t see how these ECs will help you in college admission, besides just adding to your resume.

^ JohnnyHoppy, thank you for your input. I will point out that I have two leadership significant positions, and I am pursuing things I really enjoy doing (not just listing club after club that I in reality could care less about). I also have been members of all these for at least 2 years (with the exception of skiing, but I’ve been skiing my whole life). The community service program alone, and then a leadership role in it, is something I consider something quite impressive, more so than it perhaps comes across to you right now (probably a result of not being able to read my actual essay about it).

Finally, I am a girl. Who’s applying to engineering. If nothing else, I think this is sufficient to make me “stand out” at least a bit. Do you have any advice how else to further make myself un-clich

335 what r u talkin about??? I did delete them!!! lol maybe ur computer is broken after all if u now wat i mean lol

^^^JohnnyHoppy, what are u talking about?
