Can I get into a great university (UCF, USF, FSU, UF, UM, FAU etc. ) with these grades :?

AP WORLD HISTORY- B+
AP ENVIRONMENTAL- B
READING - A
CHEMISTRY I HON. - B+
ENGLISH II HONORS- A
ALGEBRA 2 HONORS- C

Reading is a low level class, that can negatively impact my application. From the FCAT.

I think those are horrible grades, It would be hard to get into a university.

Horrible? No.
Amazing? No.
They’re meh grades, mostly because of the C.

I know what kind of grades they are. I want to know if these kind of grades can get me anywhere.

They can get you into most colleges, because most colleges below the top 25 or so aren’t particularly selective.
A lot of colleges publish the average unweighted GPA of their freshman class. If yours is below that, your chance is lower.

Looks like you have a 3.14 unweighted.

K, thanks. 3.14 Unweighted? How?

^ that “C” in Algebra2 Honors may be inflated…

UCF, USF, and FAU, most definitely. I struggled sophomore year (because I had surgery. I had 3 C’s.) and I receive emails from them everyday. “Because you’re such a good student, please apply with our priority app. Blah blah blah.” (Never gonna happen, lol, I label them as spam.)

UF, FSU, and UM you’ll probably have a harder time getting into. But these aren’t the only grades they’ll be looking at so you have a chance.

Important factoid: I seriously suck at arithmetic. Nothing in this world can shake my faith in 7 + 3 being 11.

But here’s how I got the GPA:
Each A = 4, each B = 3, and each C = 2.
Add them and divide by the number of classes, hence grade point average. Assuming each class is one credit, that’s your unweighted GPA for this semester.
Unless it’s first term freshman year, your cumulative will be different. If you’ve gotten better grades in the past, it will be higher.

The C is hurting you, other then that you are fine.
